Disaster Recovery Mental Health Training Application

Since the establishment of the activity base, the number of townspeople who contact us by looking at the flyers has increased.
"Do you do it every week" "I want to go this time" "I want to talk, not soon"
I think that it is important to devise a place where many people who are truly thankful can come without hesitation.

This week's heart 2016.03.17

319Through the community café on Saturday last week, I realized the importance of not letting it weather, and continuing to support for a long time even if it is thin.
After 5 years, everyday life seems to be normal, but feelings have stopped from that day,
Or, I asked for the reality that it was easy to get back, and for that reason, it was in isolation.

While continuing the community cafe at the base, I would like to organize a traveling salon systematically.
If you have any requests or comments, please do so!

This week's heart 2016.03.10

201603-2

While 3.11 is just around the corner, special numbers are playing on TV every day, but as an 5 year trend, there is a lot of content that is actually getting closer to rebuilding lives.
At the site, there is a growing concern about measures against “people left behind”. Some people who have difficulty reconstructing their lives are difficult to decide for themselves because of age and disabilities. Today there is a reality that cannot be covered only by the concept of “comprehensive community care” and “collaboration”, and we are keenly aware of the need for a system that can support the life of the person in total, including housing, economy, medical care / welfare, and mental care It is around this time.

This week's heart 2016.03.03

Last week's “Kokoro Karago” (*) event was a great success in Sendai.
A story about alcoholism by Dr. Shinya Naruse of Saitama Psychiatric Medical Center is that the response to people with addiction is at risk of “support” becoming “control” Many thoughts were also received from the floor with the intention of returning to the beginning, such as the importance of multi-institutional and multi-professional collaboration.

Regarding the current status of the three prefectures of Iwate, Miyagi, and Fukushima, I realized again that it was more important to communicate and encourage each other's characteristics and status as time passed.
Please see the Kokorogake website for the state of the day. https://kokorogake.org/579/

The 5 disaster recovery mental health training (here / kara / nagomi) was held

IMG_20160228_1227062 The month of 28, TKP Garden City Sendai was held for the third time in the 4 disaster-affected area support program for the 5, and a workshop was held as the XNUMX disaster recovery mental health workshop. . This theme is“Mental health care in disaster-stricken communities”is. 3 participants gathered at 84 venues in Sendai, Morioka and Tokyo.

Part 1 “Thinking about addiction in affected areas” Dr. Shinya Naruse

IMG_20160228_095335First, Dr. Shibuya from Karakoro talked about the current state of the disaster area (Ishinomaki), and introduced actual data on alcohol problems in the disaster area and their efforts. Initiatives include the AA Meeting, the Alcohol Program K-CARP, and the Al Kol Karuta, Uncle, and Ishinomaki Alcohol Research Committees, which were introduced in the previous workshop, each of which has roles such as prevention awareness and network formation. It was said that.

Prof. Naruse gave a lecture on various effects and relationships such as depression and insomnia caused by alcohol problems. In particular, I listened very interestingly to the pitfalls of addiction, such as alcohol, using wind chimes and coolers. I wanted to live without forgetting the feeling of self-control so that I won't lose my tolerance by getting used to convenient and simple things.
IMG_20160228_094308Alcoholism is not only a change in physical condition, but it also has various effects on mental by being weakened by stress, and it seems to have a great impact not only on you but also around you. In addition, these influences often cause more problems by merging. I felt that it was necessary to take a serious attitude without thinking easily.
There seems to be a common feature among those with addiction. Why don't you look around yourself? The link between addictions can be treated with the connection between people, and it is important that the understanding person and the helper continue to be in an appropriate relationship. Let's deal with correct knowledge and understanding.

There are various mental health problems in the affected areas. As with the alcohol problem, you need to spend time and face each other. In order not to get drunk, it was most important to build a personal relationship with each other.

Part 2 “Tentative title in the stricken area community that is aging rapidly”

IMG_20160228_122842Part 2 was a symposium in which the contents of activities were introduced from the minds (Noriko Okamoto), Karakoro (Mina Nishiuchi, Mayumi Ishii), and Nagomi (Saki Takeuchi, Prof. Keizo Hara). After that, we exchanged information with people from remote locations.

The next workshop is the 6 workshop that will be the final application. 2016 year 3 month 26 (Sat) 14: 00 to 17: 00 will be held under the title "Non-verbal Support Techniques -Yoga and Origami-" (tentative / open workshop). This week's heart 2016.02.18

Thanks to you, the community cafe at the new base in Otsuchi-cho (^^ も) is also very grateful for the regular customers in the neighborhood.
At the same time, those who said “I had a consultation and I couldn't go there in the morning, so I came in the afternoon” again told me that a lot of ingenuity is needed for the creation and publicity.
When I looked back at the flyers many times and heard that they had taken the plunge, I remembered the hurdles of “care for the heart” when I first visited the disaster area, and I felt like going back to the beginning.
I also feel the importance of “delivery-type salons” in traditional temporary and reconstructed houses.

If you have any opinions or requests regarding the creation of a place or local needs, please do not hesitate to contact us.

This week's heart

cafesofaHas the flu that had been violently settled?
In a temporary housing environment that is likely to continue, elderly people are particularly concerned about coldness and heat shock.
When I lived in a temporary building on the mountain side of Kamaishi, Midwinter left the air conditioner at a low temperature when leaving the house with advice from the neighborhood.
It took quite a while to warm up, and the bath quickly cooled down without any additional cooking.
Increasingly aging with aging temporary facilities. I feel that the community and living environment are really important.

At this week's community cafe, there is also a simple handmade chocolate project after Valentine's Day.
Both children and adults can enjoy it.

Currently, we are trying to make a community cafe.
In collaboration with local organizations,The process of creating something is very exciting.
